A New Spirit He Gives




A heart and new Spirit our God gives
so we may live according to His will.

Guide us dear Lord each step of the way
so we may live for you each day.

Remove the stony heart and set us apart
so others may see and believe.

Help us dear Father on this journey of life
teach us to live in peace and not in strife.

A Time to Celebrate

And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.” — Maya Angelou Turning 82 this year has been a profound blessing, and I am sincerely grateful for my family and friends. Celebrating with my cousin, Gayle at Ruby Tuesday and enjoying lunch with my husband and daughter at Chili’s were memorable experiences. I also enjoyed attending a movie with my friend Barbara— Soul on Fire was a powerful story of resilience and faith. Thank you to everyone who reached out with birthday cards, messages, lunches, and thoughtful gifts. I look forward to another year marked by gratitude and the continued goodness in my life. With heartfelt appreciation, I cherish each moment shared and every kindness received. Today, I have had hundreds of stories published in magazine articles, devotionals, and books. I can tell you it’s not been an easy journey and, in fact, one of the most difficult things I have ever done. Yet, one of the most fulfilling accomplishments I have ever made. If you’re struggling with doubt or uncertainty, know that you’re not alone. Many successful writers began with little knowledge or experience, but persistence and a willingness to learn made all the difference. The key is to take that first step, trust the Lord to help you, and remain open to growth along the way.
